The Inter-University Center for Korean Language Studies at Sungkyunkwan University is suitable for Fellows whose Korean language proficiency is mid-advanced or above, or who have completed four years of post-secondary Korean language courses overseas. Currently, this is the only approved program in Korea to provide courses for high-advanced research or academic purposes and accepts graduate students and some seniors with specific research interests.
With extremely small class sizes and tailored coursework, this program will benefit Fellows who need to improve their academic Korean language abilities, focus on reading comprehension of original sources and research works related to each learner’s area of study, enhance communication ability for academic exchange with Korean scholars, and advance translating and writing skills in academic Korean. Unlike all other programs, this program runs on 16-week terms.
