Summer 2nd, 3rd, 4th*

*4th year Chinese students and advanced 3rd year Chinese students are eligible to participate in Duke in China's 10-week Business Chinese Track.

This program is not running in Summer 2022, Please revisit this program for Summer 2023.

A moderate-sized program with strong teaching and a long history in China. Full-time language pledge. Peer-aged language partners are a hallmark of the program.  Language partners meet with students for daily, informal practice and often guide students around Beijing. Mid-term trip and many local excursions supplement the coursework at Duke in China.  Highly rigorous curriculum in a less competitive environment than programs like HBA and PIB. When possible, Duke offers a special level for heritage learners.

Duke Study in China also offers a Business Track option for higher level students that is currently under "pilot" status. Only a limited number of Light Fellows will be permitted to participate in the Business Track each year so if you are interested in this option please make an appointment to speak with a Light Fellowship advisor as soon as possible. If you are awarded a Light Fellowship and admitted to the Duke Study in China Business Track, you must email the Light Fellowship office before confirming your place in the program.
